GREEN SCHOOLS | Drominns

We at Dromin N.S are very proud of our tradition with An Taisce's Green School initiative and proudly have received six green school flags in recognition for our hard work in trying to work towards a sustainable future.

Since beginning our work with An Taisce and the Green Schools initiative we have raised awareness in our school around such issues such as waste management, reduction of energy consumption, water conservation, travel, biodiversity and global citizenship.

Each year our Green School coordinator works with staff in our school community and more importantly our pupils in our Greens School Committee to put a plan in place in order to work towards the collective goal of highlighting the issues affecting our environment and attaining the next green flag.

We all look forward to trying to achieve our seventh green flag in the very near future!
